New York Ave is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who brings creative maturity, craftsmanship, and curiosity to every project. You’ve likely spent several years in agency life or leading creative within an organization and are now looking for something different – a place that values quality over speed, balance over burnout, and purpose over hierarchy.

As a Senior Graphic Designer with New York Ave, you’ll work across digital, print, and web – partnering with our Creative Director and internal teams to translate strategy into compelling visual experiences. You’ll take ownership of your work, contribute ideas that push projects forward, and help maintain the high design standards our clients have come to expect.

Examples of who we’re looking for

  • You have 5+ years of professional, on-the-job design experience (agency or in-house creative environment preferred).
  • You’re equally comfortable designing for web, print, and digital channels.
  • You’re fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva, and comfortable adopting new tools.
  • You have strong visual instincts paired with an understanding of process and client standards.
  • You’re a self-starter who values both independence and collaboration.
  • You’re detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality work consistently.
  • You value balance – you work hard, but you also know when to step away.
  • You have no interest in corporate ladder climbing or ego battles. You simply love doing great work with good people.
  • Salary range: $55,000–$65,000 (+ up to $15,000/yr contributions and bonuses), based on experience
  • Health/dental: generous employer contributions toward your costs (up to $12,600/yr for a family of 3 or more not covered by spouse after 30 days)
  • 401(k) with company contributions (3% after 1 year, with no matching required)
  • Flexible work options: in-office, hybrid, or remote (contingent on a productive work setup and clear communication)

  • 4-day work week: after you reach 5 years
  • Design across UI/UX, digital, and print to support client campaigns, websites, and brand initiatives.
  • Use tools like Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Canva (yes, Canva – we’re fans of using the right tool for the job and check design ego at the door).
  • Translate client briefs, scopes, and brand standards into thoughtful visual concepts and finished designs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and other team members to ensure design consistency and excellence.
  • Coordinate with outsourcing partners or design platforms as needed.
  • Work within established processes – meeting or exceeding deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Contribute new ideas and creative approaches that strengthen our work and process.
  • Lead by example – no direct reports, but plenty of influence
  • You follow process, interpret instructions accurately, and communicate proactively.
  • You maintain brand integrity across every deliverable.
  • You deliver on time and take initiative to improve both work and workflow.
  • You contribute new ideas that advance creative outcomes.
  • You help elevate the team around you through collaboration, consistency, and care.
